Amazon Enters the Generative AI Race with Bedrock

Amazon joins the race for generative AI with Bedrock

Amazon has thrown its hat in the ring of generative AI. It’s not building AI models by itself. Instead, it is recruiting third parties who will host the models on AWS. Bedrock is available in a limited preview and also gives access to Titan FMs, a family trained by AWS.

AWS has today announced Amazon Bedrock. This allows users to create generative AI apps using pre-trained models created by startups such as AI21 Labs and Anthropic. Bedrock is available in a limited preview. It also gives access to Titan FMs, a family trained by AWS.

Vasi Philomin told TechCrunch, in a telephone interview, that \”applying machine-learning to the real world – solving real business challenges at scale – is what we are best at.\” \”We believe that every application can be reimagined using generative AI.\”
