China to Launch ‘Chinese Super Masons’ Robot to Construct Lunar Bases with Moon Soil by 2028

China will launch the ‘Chinese Super Masons Robot’ to build lunar bases using moon soil by 2028

Around 2028, China’s Chang’e-8 space mission will launch the robot that is responsible for making bricks from lunar soil.

It is not surprising that the science journals are buzzing about research on lunar regolith and building bases on the Moon, as well as using moon soil to grow plant life.

In a recent article in Communications Biology, a study described an experiment where moon soil samples collected by the Apollo missions was used to grow plants. In the experiment, the Earth plant Arabidopsis, also known as thalecress, thrived and grew for the first ever in lunar soil samples.
