Hsin Yuan Huang, a theoretical physicist at Caltech and a computer scientist, says that people are excited by the possibility of using quantum technologies to improve learning. Quantum physics has been a hot topic in the field of machine learning, but it was not clear whether this would be beneficial to machine learning.
