Israeli Teens Revolutionize Wheelchair Mobility with 3D Printed Kit

Israeli teenagers’ 3D printed kit motorizes an ordinary wheelchair
A group of 30 teenagers who are robotics enthusiasts from Ra’anana unveiled recently a 3D printed kit that turns a $500 standard wheelchair into an electronic wheelchair worth $2,500 with improved maneuverability and powerful brakes.

Add-ons are easy to remove and don’t interfere in the folding mechanism of a wheelchair. They can also be used on rented chairs that need to be returned as they were received.
