Unleashing Nature’s Power: Yale researchers create a shape-shifting turtle robot for ocean farming, diver support, and monitoring of coastal ecosystems

Yale researchers have created a new amphibious robot turtle with shape-shifting legs

This robot can be used for ocean farming, diver assistance, and coastal ecosystem monitoring.

Researchers at Yale University in the U.S. developed a new amphibious robot turtle that can transform its legs into flippers.

According to a Wednesday press release by the University, the amphibious robot turtle (ART, or Amphibious Robotic turtle) was inspired by land and aquatic turtles. This group has a fossil record dating back more than 110 million years.
